I had never heard the Day 10 NaPoWriMo challenge before today, but, as a bibliophile, I was immediately excited by the possibilities of Book Spine Poetry.
I pulled some random books from my bookshelf, and the titles turned into a sonnet.
NaPoWriMo Day 10 – Book Spine Poetry
We placed our feet upon the road,
The Daylight War was all we’d known.
In my dark heart a lie was sewed,
One that only the Shadow Gods loan.
Into wuthering heights we climb,
Ceremony awaits on high.
A liar’s key I left behind,
The psychopath test can’t deny.
The odyssey pulls us through storm,
The passage blocked by ice and wind.
In my dark heart has taken form,
A demon that now wears my skin.
Ceremony will be in vain,
The Devil cut my soul in twain.
