The NaPoWriMo challenge for Day 14 is to write a poem in the form of a san san. Comprising of 8 lines, the san san has a rhyming pattern similar to a tritina and focuses on 3 repetitions of 3 images.
Below is my attempt, which is inspired by the Major Arcana of the tarot deck.
NaPoWriMo Day 14 – San San
The Hermit, the Hanged Man, and The Magician
Stand at a crossroads, searching the heavens.
‘I sense change,’ the Hanged Man says.
The Hermit nods, deep in cognition.
With a wrinkled hand, the Magician beckons,
‘Opportunity grows from creativity and imagination’.
The Magician and the Hermit represent what is
While the Hanged Man’s noose lays the foundation.
